healthy-own.blogspot.com - Fart, is the action of flatulence is often a problem for many people. People would be embarrassed if fart vain, especially if the smell. Because sometimes there fart quietly "turn off", and there is also a kind of fart that sounds hard but it did not smell.
But what makes these two different fart? How can there fart stench spread and others do not? Well, as quoted from mentalfloss.com, fart odor intensity was very dependent on the type of food you eat. Food can produce different gases in the stomach and will spread the odor.
Foods such as broccoli, cabbage, onions, eggs and meat are foods that contain sulfur, a chemical that helps give a foul smell in the fart. When the body digest foods that contain sulfur and destroy bacteria in the intestine will break down the protein in food and produce methane gas, which is called the fart smell.
Fart composed of chemicals such as oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen, methane, carbon, and sulfur. Sulfur chemicals this is so "main villain" why fart smelly. In essence, the more sulfur-containing foods you eat, the smell also is the fart that you generate.
Different thing when you eat carbohydrates such as potatoes, bread and vegetables, your stomach is not completely digest the food. The food will go to the intestine and are broken down by bacteria to extract taken food which then releases gases such as carbon dioxide and hydrogen.
Well, this gas is odorless but other bacteria in the gut take such chemicals into compounds (mixtures of chemicals) that would cause odor but not overpowering. Hydrogen sulfide is a smell of gas that may come out of your ass, but not so 'lethal'.
So, now you know why sometimes it can be very smelly fart and some that do not stink? If the smell, chances are you're eating high protein foods rich in sulfur. Conversely, if it does not smell, chances are you eat foods that contain lots of carbohydrates.
